KROGER CHERRY COBBLER

1 stick unsalted butter
14.5 oz. can Kroger cherries, packed in water
3/4 C all purpose flour
1/4 C organic wheat flour
1/2 C sugar
13 packets Splenda
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C milk, OPTIONAL

Melt and brown butter in an 8 or 9" square baking pan in 350F oven. Drain cherries, set aside and reserve juice. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients together; add milk (OPTIONAL). Pour into melted butter or margarine, but DO NOT STIR. Spoon cherries on top of mixture, then sprinkle with 1/2 cup of reserved juice. Bake at 350F for 40- 50 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or warm with whipped topping.
